Meet the Parents

Health Testing

Our parents have DNA testing (relative breed panels to rule out common breed faults/diseases).  This helps us produce puppies with less chance of genetic disease that the breeds are known for. We use Pawprint Genetics, Animal Genetics and Embark Vet.

OFA

Parents have also been veterinarian examined and have orthopedic and cardiac health clearances thru OFA, Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (a non-profit database and organization with staff veterinarians). Most common for our breeds are the Cardiac and Patellar OFA evaluations. They also receive nose to tail exams and are veterinarian approved.
